The best way to make cuts is to keep an eye open for them.  Districts around the state have had to come up with creative ways to balance their budget.

One way to save over $100,000 per year in health insurance costs would be to move the administration offices just a few miles north into Kent County.

Bringing new families to the community would increase revenue because for each student the school receives at least $6,700.

Offering a quality all day everyday Kindergarten option could draw new families to the school. Students who begin school in Kindergarten are very likely to stay through high school graduation so one Kindergartener could bring in $87,100 ($6,700 times 13 years) to a district. Most families have more than one child, so the increase revenue is a multiple of that.
