Grant Application

HVEF is now accepting applications for our 2007-2008 teacher grants!

The Huron Valley School District is not able to fund all of the creative project and program ideas that educators have. That is where HVEF helps. HVEF awards mini-grants (up to $700) to educators to fund unique, inspirational, creative and innovative programs which are not currently funded through the school district. Educators, parent groups and students may apply.

The mission of the Huron Valley Educational Foundation is to raise and distribute funds that provide new experiences for students in Huron Valley Schools. We help teachers teach, and we help kids learn. HVEF is committed to providing the resources our teachers need to do more for our kids.

  • Since 1996, HVEF has provided over $100,000 directly to teachers for new classroom experiences.
  • Over 225 different programs, reaching all 18 HVS’ buildings, have received HVEF grant support.
  • In 2005, HVEF established our Founders Endowment, providing permanent funds for our grant program.
  • In 2006, HVEF increased our individual grant awards to $700, allowing teachers more flexibility.
  • In 2007, HVEF is partnering with HVS to build a Programming Fund to benefit innovative projects like Challenge Day.
  • For the future, HVEF is pursuing school-specific grant funds for all 18 HVS’ buildings.

We invite you to submit your application for a 2007-2008 “mini-grant”. For your convenience, we have included links below providing information including your ‘07-’08 application, examples of previous grants, our spotlight newsletter, and our Grant Award History by school.
