June 15, 2009 Demonstration of LCC Labor Employees in front of the Administration Building.  This protest was held to discourage the Board of Trustees from
adopting a budget that included employees layoffs, as proposed by the college's president.  Despite organized efforts, 19 LCC labor employees received layoff notices in the days that followed the meeting.  LCC-MAHE is current grieving the layoffs issued to the 3 counselors in its unit.
