Financial Aid Information
Financial Aid Workshop...Monday, January 25,
2010 at 6:30 pm
A financial aid representative from Baker College
Flint will be here to discuss financial aid. Please come prepared to
learn about all aspects of financial aid, including how to fill out the
important, sometimes difficult, FAFSA. Even if you don't feel that
your student will be eligible for financial aid grants, many scholarships
require that you fill the FAFSA out. This seminar is free and does not
promote Baker College. We will be meeting in the high school--room to
be announced later.
College Goal Sunday...Sunday, February 14,
2010...1 - 4 pm
Baker College of Owosso is one of the colleges hosting
College Goal Sunday. Financial Aid Advisors will be on hand to assist
with the completion of FAFSA applications and to answer any financial aid
questions for students and parents. Owosso's will be located at the
Technological Center on the main campus.
The Christian Connector provides a free Christian college
information service as well as a $2,500 Christian college scholarship drawing.
Students can simply log onto
www.christianconnector.com to request information and automatically be
entered in the $2,500 scholarship drawing. There is also a free, new
Online Christian College Scholarship Resource Program which allows students to
search for the different types of scholarships that are of interest.
2010-2011 paper FAFSAs can no longer be ordered
in bulk. Students will be able to request a copy of the paper application
by calling the Federal Student Aid Information Center at 1-800-4-FED-AID
(1-800-433-3243).
A PDF version of the FAFSA is available at
www.FederalStudentAid.ed.gov. Students can access the PDF, complete
the form on the computer or by hand, and mail it to the address provided for
processing. Below are the links to filing the FAFSA online as well as
getting your PIN, which is necessary for applying online.

each year. The vast majority of the Department's aid is not based on
academic merit. For further information and an online application, visit
the
Department's Web site at
www.studentaid.ed.gov. Alternatively, you may call the Federal
Student Aid Information Center toll free: 1-800-4-FED-AID
(1-800-433-3243). TTY for the hearing-impaired is 1-800-730-8913. |
