Database

A collection of data (information) on a specific topic stored in an organized manner

Record

All of the information listed for one particular item (person, place or thing) in the database file

Field

A single category of information for which data is given in each individual record

Query

Questions presented to the database in a predefined format

Ascending

To arrange alphabetically--A to Z (WORDS/TEXT) to arrange numerically--Smallest to Largest (NUMBERS)

Layout

The arrangement of fields.

Select Field

The first step in creating a database or adding a field to an existing database. You can choose from single line, email, number, dropdown, formula, etc.

A database view which arranges records in columns and rows

Edit Layout

To change the arrangement of fields in a database layout
