President: The President shall preside over meetings, appoint members of committees with the approval of the Executive Board, appoint Task Forces of ad hoc committees, serve as ex officio member of all committees, represent the Association before the public, serve as the executive officer of the Association, serve as delegate to the Coordinating Council, and perform all other functions attributed to this office. Hold a position on the bargaining team. Deal with local concerns of the membership. Attend the Bargaining Conference in February. Attend the Summer Leadership Conference in August. Local, MEA, & NEA dues are paid by local.

Vice President: The Vice President will perform duties as assigned by the President. The Vice President shall assume the duties of the President in the event of the absence of the President or a vacancy in the office, serve as delegate to the Coordinating Council, serve as delegate to the NEA Convention, and perform all other functions attributed to this office. Attend monthly Executive Board meetings. Take notes at monthly Executive Board meetings if the Secretary is unable. Run EA elections. Local dues are paid by the local.

Secretary:  The Secretary shall record the proceedings of the meeting of the Association, conduct its correspondence, and serve as secretary to the Executive Board *Includes typing of notes and presentation of notes at the next months meetings. Local dues are paid by the local.

Treasurer/Membership Chair:  Deposit funds of association and disburse them according to decisions of governing body, maintain roll of members, keep accurate accounts of receipts and expenditures, report to each meeting of the Executive Board, prepare annual financial statement for membership, assist in drafting annual budget. The treasurer shall be bonded (provided by MEA/NEA) and the association shall provide for an annual audit of the books. Pay dues to the MEA. Keep all paperwork up-to-date and filed. Reimburse members for EA business. Keep membership current with the MEA. Local dues and half of your MEA & NEA dues are paid for by the local.

MEA Regional Assembly:  Keep association informed of actions by the MEA and issues to be presented to the Representative Assembly. The delegate will attend the MEA Representative Assembly and other appropriate meetings and report back to the association. Paid $50 per year.

Serves as a delegate to the MEA region 12 meetings in October, December, February and April. Attends the MEA RAs
in Lansing in the last weekend in April or first weekend in May and the second weekend in November

MEA Regional Assembly alternate (must run as alternate): Fulfills the duties of the MEA RA delegate if the delegate cannot attend a scheduled meeting.

MEA Regional Council: Keep association informed of actions by the region council and issues to be presented to the region council. The delegate will attend the region council and other appropriate meetings and report back to the association. Paid $50 per year.

Region 12  Coordinating Council (2): The coordinating council is a group of locals from our geographic area. The Coordinating Council Delegate is an WBRCEA Executive Board member and attends council meetings in August, October, January, March and May. The delegate reports to the council on the current issues in WBRC and carries any relevant information back to the Executive Board. The delegate is also responsible for submitting WBRCEA’s request for Zone Training Funds. Paid $50 per year.

 Building Reps: (these positions are elected at building level) *Advocate for members through the Grievance process *Handle building concerns *Attend monthly Executive Committee Meetings. Paid $100 per year
