WEA GOALS FOR 2007-08

1.        The Association shall maintain the integrity of present Master Agreement.

2.         Elect WCCPAC/MEAPAC/NEAFCPE recommended candidates and other friends of public education to public offices.

3.    The Association shall provide appropriate training on Association matters to Executive Board members, building representatives and committee members.

4.         The Association shall develop and implement an internal and external PR    program.

5.        The Association shall maintain its affiliations and work to strengthen our position          in those organizations.

6.        The Association shall maintain a program of awareness on Association matters for all members.

7.        The Association will strive to increase the involvement of minority teachers.

8.       The Association shall maintain open lines of communications with its members and shall strive to assure representation at the representative assembly from all buildings.

9.         The Association shall work with MEA and other organizations to secure and maintain adequate funding for Michigan's public schools.

 10.        The Association will strive to insure that meaningful and appropriate professional development opportunities are made available to all members.

 11.       The Association shall strive to increase PAC enrollment, and increase member participation within the political process.

  12.                 The Association will negotiate a successor Master Agreement with the Waterford

Board of Education.

  13.        The Association will develop a greater capacity within our local using the

Building Full Capacity Local model.
